Utility pole blocking Upper State Road after pickup truck hits it Monday afternoon

A black pickup truck crashed into a utility pole Monday afternoon, bringing the pole down across Upper State Road and blocking traffic on the borders of Warrington and New Britain townships.

The truck sustained moderate front-end damage, per reports from the scene.

Upper State Road is closed between Bristol and Pickertown roads.

The driver of the pickup refused EMS transport from Chal-Brit Ambulance. 

Avoid the area.
