Gabrielle Sims, 31, was on a journey of helping others through her nursing education and skills, while raising her young daughter, Noelle.

Tragically, her journey was cut short after she succumbed to injuries suffered as a passenger in the Chevrolet Camaro, whose driver also died because of a three-car collision on County Line Road in Hatboro Borough Friday night.

Sims, a Holy Family University graduate who held a bachelor’s of science in nursing, was extricated from the Camaro, which came to rest on its roof next to a utility pole on the 200 block of County Line Road. A second passenger remains in critical condition in the ICU at an area hospital.

The other names of the deceased and injured have not been released yet by Hatboro Police.

“We will be putting out info this week as it becomes available,” said Chief Mark Ruegg Sunday afternoon.

Sims’s nursing manager told North Penn Now that they have been hit hard by the tragedy. Sims had been working as a medication technician since August 2022.

Family friend Kaylee Graham, of Northampton Township, set up a GoFundMe for Sims and her daughter Saturday night. As of midnight Monday, $8,005 had been raised toward the $75,000 goal.

“Your donation would greatly help her family with funeral expenses and ensure her daughter is taken care of during this devastating time,” wrote Graham on Facebook. “Every little bit helps.”

Sims’s GoFundMe states that Sims was taken in a “very horrific car accident” at the young age of 31.

“She not only was my best friend, she was also a mother to a 4-year-old baby girl who now has to continue her life without her mommy. She was an amazing mother, a caring sister, a loving daughter, a special niece, a great worker and an even better friend,” wrote Graham on the GoFundMe. “This was such a horrible, sudden accident and the family is in desperate need of help putting her to rest and making sure that her daughter is taken care of.”

Sims was a Manheim Township High School graduate, located in Lancaster, Pa.
