Fire personnel battled an exterior machinery fire on the grounds of Oldcastle Lawn & Garden, owned by Jolly Gardener Products Inc., on East Pumping Station Road in Richland Township Monday night, which sent black smoke into the air in the Quakertown area.

Per reports, as of 7:12 p.m., fire crews were on scene with a fire in a conveyer belt machine, and checking for extension into nearby buildings.

The fire has been knocked down as of 8 p.m., as crews continue to extinguish any hot spots and determine a source of the fire.

Richland Township Fire responded to the scene. We will update a list of assisting companies as more information becomes available.
