Police seeking whereabouts of black Mercedes whose driver was involved in theft from mail incident

The incident occurred on Fawn Lane, police said.

Warrington Police are seeking a black Mercedes-Benz C300 that was involved in a theft of a check from a mailbox on Aug. 9.

Police said a resident from the 2300 block of Fawn Lane reported she placed an envelope in her mailbox earlier in the day that contained a check. Later, the resident found the envelope was stolen from her mailbox, police said.

According to authorities, the driver of the Mercedes was involved, shortly after 11 a.m.

There is no warrant for the vehicle owner, police said.

Call Warrington Police at 215-343-3311 if anyone spots the vehicle.

Police advise to exercise caution when placing outgoing mail in the mailbox containing checks or other valuable items and information.
