The new Target in Doylestown has its first major reported theft.

Doylestown Township Police are seeking the identity of a man who stole a $400 phone from its box, using a magnet, while at the electronics section of the store at 456 N. Main St.

On Saturday, at 9 p.m., a white male with a beard, wearing a black baseball hat, white T-shirt, dark gray pants, calf-high black socks and pink slides, entered the Target and proceeded to the electronics section, police said.

The suspect grabbed a caramel latte-colored Motorla MOTO G Stylus 5G cell phone from the shelf, valued at $400, police said.

He then removed a magnet from his pocket to unlock the security case, police said.

The suspect left the case on the shelf, and exited the store with the phone, police said, leaving in a white SUV with possible New York plates.

Call Officer Brian Keenan at Central Bucks Regional Police Department at 215-345-4143 with any information or tips.
