Police seek scrap metal thieves who made off with more than $5K worth of metal over three nights

The incidents occurred at BKG Company on Clymer Road.

Pennridge Regional Police are attempting to identify two scrap metal thieves who hit a West Rockhill Township business over three nights for compressors, condensers and other metals.

On Wednesday, police were dispatched to BKG Company, 2990 Clymer Road, for a report of theft of scrap metal.

Police said, during the overnight and early morning hours of July 26, July 27 and July 28, two men removed $5,400 worth of scrap metal from the parking lot.

    


The scrap metal consisted of freon cylinders, A/C condensers, A/C compressors and various other pieces of metal, police said.

Surveillance camera captured two vehicles and two individuals committing the theft, police said.

One vehicle is a silver Chevrolet Silverado regular cab with a ladder rack on the rear bed, possibly a 2002 to 2008 model year. The second vehicle was a dark-colored Dodge Ram 1500 with damage along the passenger side fenders, police said.

    
    


The first male suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt and khaki-colored pants, while the other male had long blonde hair in a ponytail, wearing shorts, a baseball cap, police said.
