A Bucks County methamphetamine trafficker who sold drugs throughout Souderton and Telford and other Bucks and Montgomery county communities will be sentenced in Montgomery County Common Pleas court later this month after pleading guilty to the drug offenses in June.

Kennard D. Tucker, 47, of the 700 block of Willow Avenue, Penndel, pleaded to felony possession with intent to deliver meth stemming from drug sales he committed between January and July 2022, according to a Pottstown Mercury report, and faces up to nine years in prison.

Common Pleas Judge Thomas C. Branca ordered drug and alcohol evaluations for Tucker, per the report. Tucker can no longer make deals regarding his sentence due to his open guilty plea, per the report.

Tucker can get minimum of 4½ years or less, depending on state sentencing guidelines, according to the article.

A confidential informant told police about Tucker’s methamphetamine sales in the Indian Valley area in early 2022, per the affidavit. Eventually, the informant conducted controlled buys from Tucker under the supervision of detectives, police said, at four locations in both counties over a 7-month period last year.

Authorities said Tucker’s methamphetamine sales were amounts not conducive to personal use, with Tucker offering at one point during a controlled buy to give the informant larger amounts of the drug than requested.

“This illustrates Tucker has access to a large amount of methamphetamine that he used to service his customers and sub-dealers,” according to the complaint.

Tucker's sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 14 in Montgomery County Common Pleas court. Tucker remains incarcerated at SCI Benner Township since February 2023, per court documents.
