Plumstead Township Police are assuring residents that the fundraising letter residents received in the mail is valid and they asked for community support.

Plumstead Township Police Department has received calls from residents (last week) inquiring if the letter from the Plumstead Township Police Benevolent Association is valid. This fundraising letter is valid and is looking for the support of our residents to better provide financial support,” stated Plumstead Township PBA President Corporal Jeffrey Moffett in a news release.

Plumstead Township PBA is a fraternity comprised of current township officers whose goal is to foster the relationship between police and the community while representing its membership.

According to the benevolent association flyer, the PBA takes part in various local township events and financially supports local organizations, as well as supporting individuals and groups within the community.

“With the support of our residents of Plumstead Township, we will be able to better provide financial support to laudable organizations like Bucks County Hero Scholarship Fund, the Plumstead Police Explorers Post, and many other worthy organizations,” wrote Moffett.

The Plumstead PBA also funds the “Shop with a Cop” event every winter.

Checks can be made payable to Plumstead Township PBA and mailed to the police office at 5186 Stump Road, Pipersville PA 18947
