With New Teacher Induction Days running from Aug. 20 to 22, Teacher In-Service Days Aug. 27 to 29, and the first day for students in the classroom set for Sept. 3, summer will soon be over for the Central Bucks School District. Though, as of the close of July, the district, the third largest in the state of Pennsylvania, still has 256 job openings for the coming school year.
Of the positions, a whopping 155 are for necessary “Support Staff,” with 56 of those being for special education needs. Other supporting roles include positions such as a 1:1 staff nurse, an assistant principal secretary, and three open school receptionist/office clerk roles. To serve the estimated figure of more than 17,000 students, the current 3,300 staff members will need some additional helping hands.
Two administrative roles remain vacant, according to the district’s Frontline Education application site. The district may be struggling to fill roles, as one of the empty seats is that of a Director of Human Resources. A second, for Grant Accountant/Financial Reporting, also remains unfilled as of July 31.
There are 14 open roles in the Athletics Department, with eight of them being for head coaching positions. Varsity baseball, girls’ lacrosse (current and spring 2025), Holicong Cheer, eighth grade football, volleyball, unified track and field, and tennis coaching positions are all still listed as available.
Teachers are still needed for Central Bucks schools, including 30 open vacancies in the elementary schools, 13 at the high school, and 10 at the middle school. Six substitute roles, two supports and four teachers, also remain unmanned at this time.
With an additional 13 open roles for Custodial positions, four for transportation, and a handful of other operational staff for the district, there are still plenty of seats to fill throughout Central Bucks School District.
All applicants are encouraged to create an account with Frontline in order to apply for a specific role. Internal candidates wishing to transfer may view openings here.
